Burn

 Burn by Andrea Dean

Wow.... Wow.... Wow .... The title burn could go well any way... And what a gem! ... Nora and Astar stole my heart ... It's about love in many forms, finding your other half of the puzzle ... It kept me spellbound in so so many ways. I am so happy and proud I got an early copy of this treasure and now I am sad and a little lost ... It's finished ... And i have to wait til next year to continue this wonderful journey ... I cannot wait! 6 runes out of 5 😈

Rejected Luna Reborn

Rejected Luna Reborn by Ivory Storm

Read as ARC. This novella is not like any other werewolf story I read so far. The whole story was unexpected. The 2 POV was fluent and not repetitive at all. But the wording of the wolf/human interaction and struggle at times. I really liked that. I felt it, I understood it better. It was very clear in my mind what happened, what they felt and how it would be in real life ... Since this is a novella introducing a book series, the only thing I can do in response is anxiously await them! They will be a pleasure to discover and read!! 5 wolves out of 5 🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺

Foolishly Yours

 Foolishly yours by Rachel Lewis

I started this book thinking it was a cute little romance novel ... or not haha boy did I get it wrong!
It was way more explicit than I expected yet the story line was soooo good and there is real character development too!
I love that it's 2 POV and one of them is autistic ... a new one for me, and one I am very sensitive too since I have my own little (lol) autistic person at home.
So if you are not afraid of some good spice, maybe even a little kink and open to some autistic POV or maybe to get to know them better and if you're crush is (or not) diagnosed ... I definetely recommend it!

5+ stars out of 5 for me and I want to read those other Bardot-sibling books now too!

Bound By The Don’s Son

Bound by the Don's Son by Sloane Blackwell

Cute spicy quick read,. 2 pov's.
Camilla and Luca are despite their families and histories a match made in heaven.
You know it, a few pages on, they know it a few meetings in.
Action packed spicy love story about an impossible love turning into true love

The Alpha Heir’s Rejected Mate: A Slow-Burn Rejected Mates Paranormal Romance with Deadly Secrets (Moon Hollow Pack Book 1)

The Alpha Heir’s Rejected Mate: A Slow-Burn Rejected Mates Paranormal Romance with Deadly Secrets (Moon Hollow Pack Book 1) by S.C. Thyme

ARC received from author.

Wren and Rowan .... fantasy and romance ... Supernatural and just life. Or is it? It took me a bit to get into the story but once I found my rhythm I was swept inside the life in Moon Hollow ...  I thoroughly enjoyed this original story and am pretty sure Cade is next and I cannot wait to dive back in!

Falling for the Ex Navy Seal

Falling for the Ex Navy Seal by Lilly Conto

This was an easy quick read for me. I was pleasantly surprised in the serious part of the book. It kept me on my toes and I felt Sally's fear and Cal's frustration in my bones.
The romance was cute and not boring. The spice was just enough but could have been a bit more varied for me.
All in all if you are looking for a nice escape from reality that is more than just romance, with some suspense ... I would def. recommend it!

Love Painted in Lies: A Maida Vale Tale

Love Painted in Lies: A Maida Vale Tale by Holly Denham

I received this book from Holly after a good review of the previous one I read by her (Holly's Inbox) ... but you know life, and when I got it - my life was filled with depression and loss - 2 were longtime sufferers of dementia, one early onset Alzheimer's and it hit a bit too close to home. FFW to 2026 and we got it in the right drawer in my mind and it was time, it felt right ... and boy did she not disappoint me! Again she dragged me into her world, this time it's Minty and I felt it and I loved it and I couldn't put it down. I am sorry it took so long but I think I wouldn't have appreciated it as much then as I do now!
If you don't mind that part of the story is about the effects of Alzheimer's on your life as someone close to you suffers from it ... read it! And in hindsight, maybe if it does, read it anyway, so you know you are not alone. Minty shows us a lot ... and life can be full of surprises

Mend to be broken

My first ARC book was my second choice of the year.

Mend to be broken written by Iris De Vree

I was planning on reading one of my physical books in my collection when I got this thrown in my lap, so my physical book is back in the shelves and I jumped into the wild world of ARC .
After receiving and reading the advanced copy from the author, I posted this review on Goodreads:

I got it and it dragged me into this new world ... it held me hostage until I finished it and now I am hungry for the next book....
I really loved the story of Aurelia and August, and I cannot wait to find out more -
I could relate, it was fun, a pretty quick read with its 337p, it definitely left you wanting more and a whole new world to discover.
I would recommend this to people who like romantasy or just a cute romance story with a side of magic... And the magic promises to get better and more in book 2 and maybe the answer to a question or 20 we have left
*** SPOILER ***The only remark I have is that E. deserved more development, a bit more explained, I felt like I missed part of that storyline

I am still working on making my reviews longer and better but it was my first try at it.✌
Since I bought the deluxe edition of the book, had it signed and got the 2 previous books she published on my to be read pile and in my bookshelves .

Welcome and about me!

 Hi there!

My name is Pat aka BlackCat and rolled into ARC reading by accident in March 2026.

I didn't realize I had one in my possession all along received back in October 2024.

The idea of this blog is to have an overview of read books and ARC's by me, reviews and blurbs/teasers of ARC's coming up.

There are links to other sites like my Bookstagram and Goodreads and other ARC related pages.

I will start this bookjourney from 01.01.2026.

I am a wife, a boys-mom and a cat-mom.

I like music (metal - new wave - gothic), series/movies, anime and other geek stuff.

But enough about me, let's talk about what you came here for BOOKS!
