I was very lucky to receive Vameer after Volik as an ARC!
And what a treat it was ... Where Volik had me think about his horns ... Vameer well .... purrr purrrr
It was again a wonderful original vampire story, similar to Volik but different enough that it didn't give you a "déjà vu" feeling. AND it basically picked up where Volik left off, continuing the whole Bonded Souls world and storyline in general. The ending already hints to what or who book 3 will be about (I was rooting for #4 in line but I am a patient girl) ... And just like it's brother I can highly recommend Vameer! I cannot wait for the other stories in this universe, sadly we have to wait til 2028!!! I want to cry when I think about it ....

Broken Broken by Lira Darkwaters

This was an ARC novella.
The dark short story of what happened when 6 year old Nico was adopted and his sister Maya was left behind in a group home.
A story of love.
It is way more complex than that, and it introduces you to the main characters of the next 5 books.
From reading her previous book, and this short story or introduction or whatever you want to call it, I know those will be books that leave you raw. If you go to Instagram @Lirawaters13 you can even vote which character's story you want to read next .... I recommend! Join me in this dark world of Broken kids.

This was an ARC read.
I was so happy to be chosen to read Creed after already having read Dodge ...These are easy reads for me, quick but I enjoy them so much.
I like we get to know the other brothers better and better, the fact it ties in nicely with Dodge and Autumn ... Now Creed and Morgan .... spicy, funny, exciting, and again leaving me wanting more ... At the end of the book it is revealed (no worries no spoilers) that Judge is up next, and I am already looking forward to it ... and Maybe Nash and Quinn too?
I love the whole tough biker that is actually a teddy bear, with the right woman ... Looking forward to the next one ...

So ... this was an ARC read.
It was also my first female serial killer- reverse harem one ...
I think I enjoyed it way too much, since I found myself chuckling a lot.
I ended up also being able to understand why everything happened the way it did ... is it morally dark grey going to black? For sure ... but it's a book!  There was a lot of spice, a lot of killing and an amazing amount of things that made me laugh - I loved Nola and her wit  very much.
But my favorite characters? Toren and Skittles! I know ... I don't want to spoil anything but the way her dad is (and her mom) ... They are absolutely wonderful ... It's not for the faint of heart ... it goes way outside the box (like if the box is the size of an ant, and the story the size of a pool) but yeah I dig it ... I love the whole New Orleans scene, for me, as fan of some vampires that live there, I think it's the perfect backdrop for a story like this. Highly recommend this darker reading!

This was an ARC read
And it was spicy! I loved Fern and Sean so much!
It was a little age gap story but I loved the other parts of the tropes better: ONS, religion, trauma, ...
I have never been a fan of religion (to each it's own) but this is a very good example of how messed up it can be, and how it can destroy your life and more how you perceive yourself.
On the other hand it also shows how some people just shouldn't have kids, regardless of what happens (loss of spouse, illness, etc) there is no excuse to pick strangers over your own kids, nor drugs or alcohol. This is a very touchy subject for me (if you know you know).
But I also like how they explored all that stuff from Fern's bucket lists ... I might have googled a certain Japanese something ... If you want to know what? Go read the book ....

This was an ARC read.
I really liked Harper and Chance's story. I am not a big fan of reality TV shows, and this (the backstory) shows you why. But it is a cute kind of redemption story since Harper gets to show the world who she really is and especially the TV show gets to set it right.
The other characters are nice to get the general idea and it does show what is possible with the right kind of people around you. It was a light read thatI acually quite enjoyed. I am happy I got a chance to read it!

I received this as an ARC.
And I loved Cy and Haven's story for various reasons ...
It was dark, sometimes questionable (his behavior lol)  but it was all explained.
In the end even acceptable.
But I also love the fact it has an underlying story about a separate struggle and journey. One that has effect on a lot of people, one that is very realistic and needs to get more attention. I could tell you what it's about but I don't want to spoil anything ... (quoting River Song "spoilers!") ...
It's a very hmmpf review I know but it really is 5 stars .... A good story, good spice and well you know ... SPOILERS ....  Curious?? Go buy it and read it!

Wanna catch up?
