MATE by Evelyn Parker My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was an ARC read ... and it was another wow. I love shifter stories, they are one of my favorites, and I read a lot of them ... So to find something with again a different, not just another were story, is always a fun discovery! We meet Kayla, human - Alec, Alpha male and Dex, Alpha wolf ... this is a 3 POV coz you get to see it from the wolf's perspective too! Which makes it hilarious at times (the in mind(scape as they call it there) banter between Alec and Dex) and easier to get into his POV in general. And with Kayla you get the struggle any human would have in this situation, fear of the unknown, making life altering decisions, doubts etc ... I loved every second of it, until it said The END ! House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 5 of 5 stars Well after listening to ACOTAR 1-4 I decided to start this series before going further into the ACOTAR story (since it was suggested to have read with eyes or ears the other 2 series too before 6 ... so I might just do it before 5 ....) And wow! Not only did I have access to the full cast audio on my KOBO and I LOVED it! Home for the Slaughter by Raven Rae My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was an ARC read ... A Thanksgiving Novella ... and how funny and enjoyable this one is!!! I loved Ginger's story ... it made me miss Thanksgiving but not in the same way ... and the turkey dinner but not in the same way ;) ... The title is a give away that it is not just regular old family reunion and holiday ... noooo let's start with the fact she got dumped! By text! 6 days before! I know from experience how it feels, but at least I didn't have to see him again, not even in the same way ;) I don't want to spoil it! I don't do spoilers but it's something that makes you say oh my god and wtf at the same time as it makes you chuckle ... a little bit of spice, more tension but is it appropriate at the same time as .... As what? Go read it! Again some repetition but in this story line with everything going on, it fits ... so yeah. Bring on the holiday cheer! ;) Buy it read...

Murderous Love: An Anthology by Piper C.J. My rating: 5 of 5 stars This was an ALC listen. How I enjoyed this! Sara does another wonderful job in reading these short stories and hit you straight in the heart and brain! Originally released as book around Valentine's day I was happy this was released as ALC around Halloween, coz it's not just about love, but also about revenge and well other things ;p If you like short stories about vampires, gods, witches, aliens .... This is definitely your thing! My 3 favorite stories, just random order but my top 1-1-1-1 ;p Pig, Gemini, Book Boyfriend Experience, Marry Kiss Kill ... oops I have 4 #1's I guess ... and the others? Stay Scared by Raven Rae My rating: 4 of 5 stars This was an ARC review ... I stepped into this world only knowing it was about a reverse harem and stalking etc ... So low expectations and it did not disappoint! It was not too spicy but it also did not go the way I expected it to go after reading the blurb ... which I like a lot. Sometimes you get exactly what you expect (and it's still good but not surprising) ... this one surprised me since it was way more than a reverse harem, or spice ... It was more layered ... It could have been scarier for me, but this way it was still pretty light entertainment and enjoyable :) I read another story written by Raven since, and the only remark I have, that didn't bother me as much in the 2nd cause it fit in the whole story better, is sometimes it's a bit too repetitive ... Especially if you read it in a few days, you remember the story well enough that it is not necessary and I think it might make t...

A Court of Frost and Starlight by Sarah J. Maas My rating: 4 of 5 stars View all my reviews Book 4 in my audiobook series but is it really? it's a novella and well I didn't like it as much ...I still love Rhysand and Feyre, I hate Tamlin even more ... but the others ... sigh I don't know ... I don't feel the same connection with them as I did with Rhys and Feyre ... I started Crescent City after this (and I will listen to Throne of Glass after that) before listening to book 5 6 7 .... ;)
